Dependent Care Management, Inc. has sponsored the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to home child care providers in Indiana since 1989. This USDA program provides cash reimbursement to help serve nutritious meals to participants enrolled in nonresidential child care centers, adult day care centers, and day care homes throughout the country. DCMI is a not-for-profit statewide sponsoring organization currently active in 35 Indiana counties. DCMI administers this program through the Indiana Department of Education, Division of School and Community Nutrition Programs.
DCMI recently partnered with the Food Research and Action Center, The Sponsor's Forum, the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies, and the National Family Child Care Association in the "Take a Picture, Tell a Story" initiative. We would like to share our story with you to promote the value and significance of this integral nutrition program.
DCMI remains committed to the strong ethical approach it has operated under since its inception in 1989.
